Bricolage featured in AJ New Practice Series

The Architects’ Journal has featured Bricolage in its New Practice series.

I set up Bricolage to work closely with materials, construction and context, and to make architecture by assembling what is already there. The idea of bricolage feels relevant now. Resources are tight, expectations are high, and architects need to stay close to how buildings are actually made.

The AJ piece touches on hands-on making, self-build, teaching and the value of learning through doing. That overlap shapes how I practise and the kinds of projects I’m drawn to.

It’s good to see these ideas discussed in the AJ, and to be part of a wider conversation about working carefully and resourcefully.
